I’m applying for NH arts fellowship. The application is no biggie. The written part anyway. The video evidence of my awesomeness is a whole ‘nother story.
I didn’t think to video record my work. It’s theatre. Who would want to watch theatre on tv? Boring.
One of my fight mentors commented that I should video tape the fights so I can have others review them later and get feedback. “Hunh,” I thought at the time, “I guess I’ll have to think about doing that.”
But that’s a five minute scene, not a 2 hour show.
The fellowship requires that theatre artists submit video clips of their work. So, here I have one video. A DVD of Sophocles’ Electra. And my little laptop, with a video editing program I’m sure I could figure out how to use if only the video was in the right format for importing.
I have no point to this post. Just that I’m frustrated and I could really use this fellowship so I damn-well have to figure out how to pull some clips off the dvd.
Erg.
